Baseball fans in Washington, D.C. are pulling hard for the Nationals to beat the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS and give people hope that a sports curse on the city doesn’t exist.

Although the Nats entered Wednesday’s Game 4 at Wrigley Field trailing the Cubs 2-1 in the series, one little girl wrote a letter to the team declaring her faith in the players and their ability to force and win a Game 5.

She read her letter out loud for a video, wearing her MLB postseason sweatshirt with the Nats’ curly W on the wall behind her. In the body of her message, she said:

“I just wanted to say that I know you can do this. I’m a believer, a superfan, a Nationals lover. I’m 10, and this summer I had two heart surgeries, one pacemaker shock, four ER trips and I fainted at school. And today I have to wear a Holter monitor for two days. So if I can find the strength and will to do all this, I know you can win. Bring home Game 5, then keep going. And don’t ever stop. My pacemaker beats for you.”
